Nomura's CSR initiatives have won strong commendations. We have been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes, the FTSE4Good Index and the MS-SRI Index (as of January 2012).

		Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes The world's first sustainability equity indices, Dow Jones & Company (U.S.) and Sustainable Asset Management (Switzerland), jointly choose the companies to be included in these benchmarks.

		FTSE4Good Index Owned by the London Stock Exchange Group, FTSE established a socially responsible investment index comprised of prime enterprises across the world. FTSE Website FTSE4Good ESG Ratings: Nomura recognized as a Supersector leader Nomura Holdings was recognized as a Supersector leader for the second consecutive year in the FTSE4Good ESG Ratings*. In September 2012, Nomura was recognized as second in the financial services sector and first among Japanese companies. (as of March 2013) FTSE4Good ESG Ratings: An assessment of 2,400 companies around the world conducted by FTSE, a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange, and EIRIS, a socially responsible investing research firm.

		CDP Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an international, not-for-profit organization which represents 655 institutional investors with $78 trillion in assets. Nomura recognized by Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) for climate change disclosure

		MorningStar Socially Responsible Index (MS-SRI) Morningstar Japan K.K. created this socially responsible investment benchmark, a first in Japan, which covers the share prices of the nation's 150 most socially responsible companies.

		Make a CHANGE Day Received one of the Corporate Winners of the Make a CHANGE Day in 2012 for speaker events to support the revival of areas affected by the Tohoku earthquake

		China Charity Award Nomura has been named one of the Corporate Winners of the China Charity Awards.

		Clean City Award Received a Chairman's Cup of London Clean City Award for environmental conservation activities in the city.

		Carbon Trust Standard Awarded to Nomura International plc (U.K.) in recognition of measuring, managing and reducing its carbon emissions.
