Nomura appoints Kwong Lam to lead Convertible Bond Business in Asia
Hong Kong, 14 June, 2006-Nomura announced today it has appointed Kwong Lam as Head of Asia Convertible Bonds. Mr. Lam joins from KBC Financial Products and will be based at Nomura’s Asia headquarters in Hong Kong.
Mr. Lam was previously an Executive Director with KBC Financial Products in Hong Kong where he was responsible for Asian Convertible Bonds and Proprietary Trading. Prior to that, he was in Convertible Bond Sales at Deutsche Bank / Bankers Trust based in Hong Kong. Having both Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) and Chartered Financial Analyst (C.F.A.) qualifications, he has been working for Convertible Bond Trading for 8 years.
Mr. Lam will be responsible for developing Nomura’s Convertible Bond platform in Asia. He will report to Tomoyuki Teraguchi, Head of Asia Equity Division and also Paul Dolan, Head of Convertible Bonds (in London).
In announcing Mr. Lam's appointment, Mr. Teraguchi commented, "We are delighted that Kwong has joined our team and are certain that with his expert knowledge in the field of convertible bonds, and indeed of the overall equity marketplace, he will have a significant impact on the expansion of our future business within Asia."

Mr. Lam began his career with Ernst & Young Chicago / Toronto as a Senior Accountant. He is a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) and also a Chartered Financial Analyst (C.F.A.).
