Nomura hires James Gleeson as Regional Head of Sales Trading in Asia | ||||||||||||||||||
Hong Kong, 3 October 2006-Nomura today announced the appointment of James Gleeson as Regional Head of Sales Trading. Mr. Gleeson joins Nomura from Credit Suisse and will be based at Nomura's Asia headquarters in Hong Kong. In his role at Nomura, Mr. Gleeson is responsible for managing the sales trading team and enhancing relationship with clients in the region. Mr. Gleeson will report to Tomoyuki Teraguchi, Head of Asia Equity Division. In announcing Mr. Gleeson's appointment, Mr. Teraguchi commented "James brings a wealth of experience to the Nomura Asia Equity Division. I am confident that he will make an important contribution to us." Prior to joining Nomura, Mr. Gleeson spent over 10 years at Credit Suisse, where he was Asian Sales Trader Director in HK for over 4 years responsible for management of Sales Trading and Execution Team and prior to that Head of Australian Sales Trading and Execution in London. Nomura's Asian equity sales covers countries including Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea and Australia. In response to clients' needs, Nomura has significantly expanded its teams, including equity derivatives, convertible bonds, and equity sales and trading, with a number of key hires in recent months.
