Nomura Hires Andrew Haskins as Head of Regional Telecoms Research
Hong Kong, 13 November 2006 - Nomura today announced the appointment of Andrew Haskins as Head of Regional Telecoms Research. Mr. Haskins will be based at Nomura's Asia headquarters in Hong Kong. In his role at Nomura, he will manage regional telecoms thematic research in Asia.
Mr. Haskins will report to Stewart Callaghan, Head of Asia Research Division. In announcing Mr. Haskins' appointment, Mr. Callaghan commented "We are pleased to have Andrew joining us in Asia Research Division. With his wealth of experience in telecoms research across the regions, I am confident that Andrew will continue to develop Nomura's franchise in the Telecoms sector."
Prior to coming to Nomura, Andrew spent 15 years at HSBC where he has been a ranked analyst and has covered Japanese, European, US and Asian telecoms stocks. Andrew moved to Hong Kong approximately 18 months ago to cover developed Asian telecoms. Prior to HSBC he worked two years for Mercury Asset Management in London after graduating from Cambridge University in Law and Japanese Studies.
