Nomura Hires Jim Wong as Head of Asian Transport
and Infrastructure Research
Hong Kong, June 18, 2007 – Nomura today announced the appointment of Jim Wong as Head of Asian Transport and Infrastructure Research. Mr. Wong will be based at Nomura's Asia headquarters in Hong Kong, and will be initiating coverage on the Transport and Infrastructure sector.
Mr. Wong will report to Stewart Callaghan, Head of Asia Research Division. In announcing Mr Wong's appointment, Mr. Callaghan commented: "We are delighted that Jim has joined us in Asia Research Division. Jim's great experience and depth of knowledge of the transport sector across the region will undoubtedly prove an asset to the division and the company as a whole."
Prior to coming to Nomura, Mr. Wong spent ten years at BNP Paribas where he has covered the Transport sector. He was ranked number 3 "Best Regional Analyst for Transportation" in 2006 Asiamoney Brokers Poll. Prior to that, he worked for CLSA and the Bank of East Asia, and has been in the industry since 1992. Jim has an MBA in Finance from the University of British Columbia.
