Nomura expands Specialist and Portfolio Sales Teams

London, 4 September 2006-Nomura International plc announced today the appointments of Tim Nutter as Head of the Portfolio Sales Team and Andrew Beswick in TMT Equity Specialist Sales.

Tim Nutter joins Nomura today as Head of the Portfolio Sales Team. Tim was previously at Merrill Lynch International where he worked for 12 years, of which seven had been in portfolio trading. Most recently, Tim had been a Director, Sales Trading and prior to that Vice President, Senior Trader for Equity Swaps and CFDs.

Andrew Beswick will start work at Nomura on 4 September as a specialist in TMT equity sales. Andrew has six years’ TMT specialist sales experience and is joining Nomura from JPMorgan where he focused on technology sales. Previously, Andrew worked as Head of Technology Specialist Sales for Europe at Deutsche Bank and prior to that at Lehman Brothers and Charterhouse Securities.

Both Tim Nutter and Andrew Beswick will be based in London. Tim Nutter will head the Portfolio Sales Team reporting jointly to Tadahiro Nishikawa and Joji Watanabe, European Heads of Equity Trading and Equity Sales respectively. Andrew Beswick will work as part of the Equity Sales Group reporting to Joji Watanabe.
