Nomura Appoints Serhan Cevik as Global Emerging Markets Economist
London, 23 June 2008 – Nomura has appointed Serhan Cevik as its Global Emerging Markets economist, based at the firm's European headquarters in London.
Serhan was previously at Morgan Stanley in London where he was the chief economist for the Middle East and North Africa including Israel and Turkey. Before that he was based in Washington, DC, holding research positions at the National Centre for Policy Analysis and the Centre for Strategic and International Studies.

Serhan has already published thought leading research discussing the desynchronisation of emerging economies. As one of his first event engagements he will be joining Nomura's Pan Asia Equity Caravan in continental Europe and London where he will be outlining his view on emerging economies for the coming months.
