Nomura Appoints David Bizer as Head of Global Markets Sales, EMEA

London, 25 November 2008 – Nomura today announced it has appointed David Bizer as Head of Global Markets Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa, effective immediately.

He will be responsible for managing the distribution of all Fixed Income and Equity products to clients in EMEA. He will also be a member of the Executive Committee in the region.

"David's appointment is yet another step forward for Nomura" said Sadeq Sayeed, Chief Executive of the Acquired Businesses for EMEA. "His efforts will be crucial for creating positive momentum and driving the success of the firm's Global Markets business in the region."

Prior to his appointment, David was Head of Fixed Income Sales for EMEA at Lehman Brothers. He was responsible for sales of all fixed income products and managed the firm's fixed income sales organisation in the region. Before that, David managed the Equity Sales organisations at Lehman Brothers in both EMEA and the Americas. He was a member of Lehman Brothers' Europe and Middle East Executive Committee and Fixed Income Executive Committee.

David will be based in London and will jointly report to Georges Assi and Kieran Higgins for Fixed Income and to Rachid Bouzouba for Equities.
