Tokyo, May 21, 2026—Nomura Holdings, Inc. today announced that it has once again been selected for inclusion in the World and Asia Pacific indices of the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices*1, a family of leading global sustainability benchmarks.

 

The Dow Jones Best-in-Class World Index selects the top 10% of the largest 2,500 companies worldwide that demonstrate strong performance based on economic, environmental, and social criteria. Nomura has been included in the index for 11 consecutive years and is the only Japanese bank or securities firm selected for the index.

 

The Dow Jones Best-in-Class Asia Pacific Index selects the top 20% of the 600 largest companies in the Asia–Pacific region. Nomura has been included in the index for 17 consecutive years, since the index was launched.

 

Nomura also continues to be included in the following sustainability-related indices:

  • MSCI World Selection Index

This list includes all the Japanese equity ESG indices used by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF). Nomura's inclusion on these indices reflects the broad recognition of the company’s sustainability initiatives.
