Nomura Strengthens High Yield Research Team with Key Hires

London, 4 February 2010 – Nomura, the global investment bank, today announces the hires of Ronan Clarke as head of High Yield Credit Research for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Karine Elias as senior high yield analyst.

Ronan will be based in London and has 10 years of experience in high yield research having held similar management roles at UBS and most recently Royal Bank of Scotland. Prior to this he was an industrials analyst at JPMorgan for four years.

In addition, Nomura has also hired Karine Elias as a senior high yield analyst who joins the firm from MF Global and has seven years of experience in high yield credit research with Royal Bank of Scotland, UBS and Morgan Stanley. Karine will cover retail/consumer and gaming credits.
