Nomura appoints Pierpaolo Di Stefano as Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking for Italian Corporates

Milan, June 23, 2011 – Nomura, the global investment bank, today announced the appointment of Pierpaolo Di Stefano as Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking for Italian Corporates.

Based in Milan, Pierpaolo Di Stefano will report directly to Andrea Pellegrini, co-Chairman and Head of Investment Banking for Nomura Italy and will be focussing on Italian clients. Mr Di Stefano has over 15 years investment banking experience, and joins from UBS where he spent six years working in a variety of roles in London and Italy finishing as co-head of Italian Investment Banking. Prior to UBS, Mr Di Stefano spent eight years at Merrill Lynch and started his career at Lazard in 1994.

Commenting on the new appointment, Andrea Pellegrini, Head of Investment Banking for Nomura Italy, said, "We are delighted to welcome Pierpaolo. His depth of experience in M&A and strong client relationships will strengthen our team and help grow our footprint throughout Europe."

Mr Di Stefano, has a degree from Bocconi University, Milan.
