Nomura's Assets Under Management Top 30 Trillion Yen

Tokyo, July 10, 2007 – Nomura Holdings, Inc. today announced that assets under management in its Asset Management Division exceeded 30 trillion yen1 as of the end of June 2007. This marks the first time in the history of Japan's asset management business that a firm's assets under management have topped 30 trillion yen.

"Our growth comes on the back of an expansion in the overall market driven by rising demand in the domestic investment trust market, a more stable pension market in Japan, and the increasing needs of foreign institutional investors," said Takumi Shibata, CEO of Asset Management at Nomura.

Nomura's Asset Management Division is one of five business divisions operated by Nomura Group.
