Tokyo, October 19, 2023 - Nomura Holdings, Inc. today announced that it recently launched the Digital IQ University, a digital skill development program for employees. The program will be implemented globally on a phased basis.

Nomura is committed to developing specialized talent to drive its business strategies and achieve consistent growth. The Digital IQ University aims to enhance the firm’s competitiveness by improving the digital skills of employees.

Nomura expects the program to have four main benefits: higher productivity leveraging digital tools across the firm, development of new products and services through insightful client analysis, enhanced data analysis to provide timely information and advice on strategy and decision-making, and accelerated deployment of new and enhanced systems and reduced costs through in-house IT solutions.

The program is curated around 12 Nomura specific digital personas based on the digital skills required by people across different businesses and functions. Employees are assigned learning content based on their respective personas and are able to learn at their own pace.

The program will enable employees to acquire a wide range of digital knowledge and skills, leading to greater efficiencies and more competitive operations and services, and helping build an overall culture of innovation.
