The Nomura Art Award is a program operated by Tokyo University of the Arts for doctoral students in the Graduate School of Fine Arts, funded by a grant from the Nomura Foundation. Works and dissertations are selected by the university’s faculty members, and the awarded pieces are generally purchased and housed by the Tokyo University of the Arts Museum. This scholarship system supports the development of talented young artists while also promoting the continuous collection, preservation, and exhibition of outstanding artworks at Tokyo University of the Arts.

Nomura Group is supporting Sports of Heart, a festival of "sports and culture" where people with and without disabilities can enjoy together.
At the event held in 2022, Nomura Group organized sitting-style strikeout experience booth with the aim of promoting understanding of sitting volleyball.
Since 2017, Nomura has supported the Tokyo Marathon as an official "VOLUNTAINER" volunteer team. With the desire to support Japan's largest citizen's marathon and runners, many employees are involved in various activities every year, such as water supply and luggage management for runners, presentation of finisher medals, and interpreting.
Nomura and the Nomura America Foundation have been proud supporters of Carnegie Hall since 2010. Through investing in the arts, Nomura is committed in supporting both internationally renowned and emerging Japanese artists, creating opportunities to share and celebrate unique artistic perspectives, and enriching our local communities.
In 2023, Nomura was proud to sponsor a performance by pianist Mitsuko Uchida.
