Nomura Selected as Component of FTSE4Good Index and Recognized as a Supersector Leader in FTSE4Good ESG Ratings
Nomura Holdings has been selected as a component of the FTSE4Good Index, which comprises companies chosen for their leadership in sustainability since 2006. The FTSE4Good Index Series has been designed to measure the performance of companies that meet globally recognized corporate responsibility standards, and to facilitate investment in those companies.
Nomura Holdings also received an overall ESG supersector relative rating score of 100 out of 100 in the latest FTSE4Good ESG Ratings*. Nomura was recognized as the number one company in the financial services sector and selected as the top Japan regional leader based on overall ESG rating.
"FTSE4Good ESG Ratings" is a new data service which provides a comprehensive, transparent and objective system to measure the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices of over 2,300 public companies worldwide.
Nomura Group's CSR initiatives have been highly praised and Nomura Holdings is part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes, FTSE4Good Index, and MS-SRI (Morningstar Socially Responsible Investment Index as of January 2012).
