Nomura Wins at the Sustainable City Awards
The Sustainable City Awards were established by the City of London Corporation in 2000 and are run in partnership with a consortium of 23 organisations. Awards are given across 12 categories, which between them represent the three pillars of sustainable development, The Economy, Society and the Environment.
Entries to each of the categories are judged by independent judging panels established by the organisations which support that particular category. These panels are responsible for selecting a winner, and runner up and three shortlisted entries.
The winner and runner up for each category is passed onto the final judging panel, which is composed of a panel of experts comprising category partners and eminent guests under the non-voting chairmanship of the London Sustainability Exchange. This panel is responsible for choosing the winners of the Sir Peter Parker Award, and the Overall Winner Trophy for the Sustainable City Awards.
Nomura has come first place in the Health and Wellbeing category of the City of London Sustainable City Awards for the second year running.
The award was presented to the Real Estate & Services and Health & Fitness teams at the annual ceremony held at London's Mansion House. The accolade recognises and rewards businesses that have outstanding practices in relation to sustaining the health of their workforce; organisations that are doing innovative work to recognise that their people are their most important assets, and creating work environments and cultures that promote and sustain all aspects of health and wellbeing.
