Since it was established in November 1999, Nomura Capital Investment Co., Ltd. (NCI) has focused on providing non-recourse loans for commercial real-estate investments such as office buildings and rental apartments.

By advising clients on using their real-estate assets to meet their financing needs, providing non-recourse loans for investors looking to invest in commercial real-estate, and delivering investment products based on securitized loans, NCI has tapped Nomura Group's extensive network and sophisticated financial engineering to develop Japan's real-estate finance market.

In May 2006, we expanded our operations to include leveraged finance and asset-based lending. Through this expansion, we are to combine our strengths with the diverse range of expertise in Nomura Group to provide a full spectrum of services to meet our clients' financing needs.
