Nomura Asset Management Establishes Sustainability Advisory Board

Tokyo, May 18, 2022 - Nomura Asset Management Co., Ltd. (NAM), the core company within the Investment Management Division of Nomura Group, today announced the establishment of a Sustainability Advisory Board to strengthen its sustainability governance structure and help clients build assets.
NAM engages in sustainability activities to address a broad range of social issues and fulfill its fiduciary duty 1 to its clients as an asset manager. The Sustainability Advisory Board will provide independent external advice and feedback on NAM’s sustainability initiatives to further drive its efforts. NAM has invited three independent outside directors, as well as outside experts Masako Egawa, Chancellor of Seikei Gakuen, and Yumiko Miwa, Professor of Meiji University, to serve as board members.
As a responsible institutional investor, NAM will continue to address ESG issues while working to secure its place as the Japanese asset manager preferred by clients globally.
